Etsy.com is an innovative marketplace for handmade goods and a community for the people who make them. More than 100 Treasure Valley artists sell their creations on the site, and 38 of them got together to form a local arm called Idaho Indie Works. The group includes painters, knitters, jewelers, masters of "trashion" and more, and their colorful pieces will be introduced to the public at a First Thursday event in Downtown Boise. i dream about pom-poms!!

here's a peek into my pom-pom mania! i love the way they feel! for all those who like texture....this is the pendant for you! i found that when i wear these pendants they double as stress reducers. i had a bought of road rage the other day and when i rubbed the little pom-pom on my heart pendant, it all went away. i think it's a soft reminder to have some love and tolerance for those who can really get on our nerves....yup, these tlc warm and fuzzies are absolutely fabulous.

i like to melt things!

my next series of jewelry i am creating from a huge tub of plastic pony beads i found at a local thrift store. i'm melting them in my oven and forming them into various heart shapes...none of them are perfect and that's also the point/statement i'm making with these. i'm exploring different ways of embellishing them and these are what i've got so far....
