Go do it: Buy hip, handmade, local stuff from Idaho indie works show

Etsy.com is an innovative marketplace for handmade goods and a community for the people who make them. More than 100 Treasure Valley artists sell their creations on the site, and 38 of them got together to form a local arm called Idaho Indie Works. The group includes painters, knitters, jewelers, masters of "trashion" and more, and their colorful pieces will be introduced to the public at a First Thursday event in Downtown Boise.
